Hey, Wayne Here
Grace in Motion
1 May 2026
I’m writing to you from Atlanta, where I have the privilege of attending the inaugural Irresistible Church Conference. With me are 21 delegates from across South Africa, joined by church leaders and friends from Brazil, Mexico, Northern Ireland, England, Australia, South Korea, North America, Ireland, and many more places around the world.
As I sit in these rooms, listen to stories, share meals, pray together, and dream about the future of the local church, I am reminded of something important: Grace Family, you are part of something much bigger than yourselves.
Sometimes it is easy to think only in terms of our own campuses, our own city, our own needs, or our own challenges. But the Church of Jesus Christ stretches across nations, languages, cultures, and generations. What God is doing among us in KwaZulu-Natal is connected to what He is doing in cities across the earth.
Your faithfulness matters. Every prayer prayed, every act of generosity, every volunteer who serves, every child discipled, every person welcomed, every worship song sung in faith—these are part of a far bigger story than we often realise.
Grace is not an isolated church. We are a contributing church. We are not standing on the sidelines; we are helping shape the future of healthy, life-giving churches in South Africa and beyond.
So be encouraged today. Lift your eyes. What God has planted here has influence there. What God is doing there strengthens what He is doing here.
You belong to a local church, but you are also part of a global movement of hope.
Let’s stay humble, stay hungry, stay prayerful—and keep building the kind of church that points people to Jesus.
Love to you and yours
