On Sunday the 16th of February, Matthew joined us for our evening service.

They say we don’t rise higher than the stories we believe in. That it is stories,

for better or for worse, that ultimately come to shape our lives. Now, I don’t know

exactly who They are, and I’m not typically inclined to agree with everything They

say. But I think I agree with them about the stories.

It’s Alasdair Macintyre who says that, “I can only answer the question ‘What

am I to do?’ if I can answer the prior question ‘Of what story or stories do I find

myself a part?’”
